Velaiyilla Pattathari (2014) [Tamil WEB-Rip - Mp3 - 320kbps] Velaiyilla Pattathari is a 2014 romantic comedy film written and directed by debutante Velraj. The film stars Siddharth, Premgi Amaren, Bobby Simha and Anjali. Produced by Studio Green, the film was released on 5 October 2014 to mixed reviews from critics.[1] Sansakshana (Anjali), Devi (Kavya Madhavan) and Vicky (Nithin Girish) are three friends living in Chennai who work in different sectors of the industry like theatre, television serials and modelling. They each have a personal reason to leave their hometowns. Sansakshana's parents abandon her after getting caught in a scandal, Devi was forced to leave because of her immature boyfriend who used the town's people against her and Vicky had to leave because of a misunderstanding. The three friends promise each other that they will never fall in love. The story then moves to a village called Velaiyar Thottam, where Pattathari (Siddharth) is known for his heroic deeds along with his friend Subbaraju (Premgi Amaren). He later finds out that his mother is very sick and runs away to Chennai after he finds her. The film then shows Pattathari getting involved in various situations while searching for a job, while the story follows three friends, who are not able to forget their heartbreak and try to get back together. The film has received mixed responses from critics. "Times of India" stated that Velraj "rose to the occasion with this one, but fell short in terms of the screenplay". The reviewer further stated that "The director plays it safe and keeps you at a distance, and it's too late by then". "Behindwoods" claimed that "On the whole, Velaiyilla Pattathari is a nice attempt from director Velraj and Siddharth, but they could have taken the film to another level which would have made it more unique and fresh". The film opened with mixed reviews. The Hindu stated that "the movie is interesting for its first half and uninteresting in the second". The reviewer added that "the treatment of the subject on sentimental lines is what we see all too often and there is nothing new here on that front. It seems as if no time has passed since we saw this on screen last. The first half goes on smoothly with many laughs thrown in, but things slow down towards the end". The same article also stated that "Director Velraj tries to blend comedy with serious subject like AIDS but his attempt fails badly". Rediff stated that "For all its flaws, this film has an infectious charm and is an enjoyable watch. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also bags a big chunk of applause for his performance". "Behindwoods" claimed that "Velaiyilla Pattathari is a lighthearted film which entertains the audience throughout though the story has some loopholes. It simply could have been much better if it had been made with more style." The film was dubbed in Tamil as Velaiyillai Pattathari by Films Division. It was released on 12 October 2017. cfa1e77820
