This blog post will show you how to make a .exe and .dat file and import it into AutoCAD LT 2018 64bit. AutoCAD LT is the best free CAD software out there for engineering professionals. It's simple, reliable, and easy to use. Plus, the free version comes with all of those powerful features that engineers need: 3D modeling tools for precision engineering drawings; CAM tools for 2-D drawings such as machining or sheet metal fabrication; and rendering options to display your designs in photorealistic quality images. Recently, AutoCAD LT 2018 was updated to add a new feature called Cintiq Draw. In order to import the new drawings created in Cintiq Draw into AutoCAD LT, you will need to make a .exe and .dat file from them. The following procedure should work for all Windows users who have AutoCAD LT installed on a 64-bit Windows computer. On a 64-bit system, AutoCAD LT uses both 32-bit and 64-bit components for providing drawing features. Step One: Download the two files from this page: http://blogs.autodesk. com/autocadlt/autocad-lts-2018-x64-exe-auto-cad Step Two: Place the AutoCAD LT 2018 .exe file in a folder on your computer. Step Three: Place the AutoCAD LT 2018 .dat file in a folder on your computer. NOTE: If you have an administrator account on your computer, then you can skip Step Three and immediately run the AutoCAD LT 2018 64 bit exe file by clicking on that file's shortcut icon in the "Start" menu. If you do not have an administrator account, then skip this step and go to Step Four. Step Four: Paste or copy and paste lines 1 through 3 (above) into a text file. Step Five: Open the text file in Notepad (or another editor). Step Six: Add the following code to the text file; this code makes one replacement for the original message at line 33 in the AutoCAD LT 2018 .exe, and another for line 30 in that .dat: If you need to make multiple replacements, then repeat steps two through five above. Once completed, save your text file with a .txt extension; we will call ours "AutoCAD_LT_64bit_Links.txt". The .txt extension may not appear in the menu bar, but it should be visible in the text file's title/filename box. Step Seven: Open Windows Explorer (Windows 7) or File Explorer (Windows 8 and 10). Navigate to your AutoCAD LT 2018 .exe file's directory location by clicking on the "This PC" icon, which is in the lower left corner of your computer screen. Then click on "C:" to expand the folders. The folder locations will look something like this: Once you are inside that directory, you should see two files - "AutoCAD_LT_2018_64bit_WW" and "AutoCADLTEXE". cfa1e77820
